A Sequim Lavender Farm

The Inn and Washington Lavender Farm are located in the beautiful Sequim-Dungeness Valley of Washington State. This area is known for its abundant sunshine, mild temperatures, and minimal rainfall compared with the rest of the state. Perfect climate for growing Sequim lavender. In fact, the area is often referred to as America’s Provence! So it was only natural for us to plant lavender on the property in the fall of 2008 shortly after we had opened the Inn.

Welcome to the Fields

In 2011, we opened Washington Lavender Farm to the public. Farm visitors enjoyed access to the lavender fields Memorial Day to Labor Day. Overnight guests benefited from the beauty and fragrance of lavender throughout the summer. We began incorporating culinary lavender into our breakfast preparation. Many of the bath and body products made their way into the guest rooms. Guests receive a complimentary lavender sachet at check-in and have enjoyed shopping the lavender gift shop with its wide array of lavender products made right here on property utilizing our own lavender oil and buds.

For Our B&B Guests

At the conclusion of the 2022 lavender harvest, we made the difficult decision to close Washington Lavender Farm to the public. There are still some 5000 lavender plants on the property, and we will continue to make the wide variety of high-quality lavender products we’ve become known for. These products are now only available through our online gift shop and in Inn’s gift shop. This decision allows us the time and energy to focus on providing the ultimate B&B experience. Our guests can now experience the relaxation and privacy they deserve without the farm traffic that had increased exponentially through the years.

Lavender Blooms & Gifts

If you are looking to book a stay while the lavender is in bloom, be sure to plan ahead for your visit from mid-July through the end of August. These dates fill up quickly! But you’ll find lavender is present in different forms on the property year round – whether in the field or in your guest room amenities,  your breakfast menu, or the extensive gift shop inside the Inn.

For those who have discovered our quality Washington Lavender Farm products and can’t visit in person, we invite you to visit our online gift shop. Or consider purchasing a lavender e-gift card for a friend.

What our Guests are Saying:

Celebrating my birthday a week early, we had a very nice time at the George Washington Inn. The room was very comfortable. Our hosts were kind and friendly. The setting, overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca, with Victoria visible in the distance across the water, is spectacular. We enjoyed the historical touches and visual reminders of George Washington, and the landscaping with lavender plants. We also enjoyed hearing about Dan and Janet’s activities in the community during the Lavender Festival and the Northwest Colonial Festival. The breakfast was tasty and the experience was most memorable. We recommend the George Washington Inn.” Ron
