Due to damage sustained in our fire sprinkler system during an extended period of freezing temperatures in mid-January 2024, George Washington Inn experienced significant flooding to the interior of the building. As a result, we had to temporarily close to guests. The restoration process has been extensive, but when we reopen the Inn will be just like new. Steady progress is being made, and at this point we anticipate being open in time for Memorial Day Weekend of 2026. We understand the impact this closure may have on your plans, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

We are committed to rebuilding and restoring George Washington Inn in all its glory. Our goal is to recreate the same charm and ambiance that have made us a cherished destination for travelers from around the world.
