What Guests Say About the General Washington Suite

Lavender Heaven. Since this inn is also a lavender farm, the air is totally perfumed. I would often just step outside and inhale, wishing I could take the atmosphere home with me. We were in the General Washington Suite! King bed, faux fireplace, soaking tub, kitchen, balcony overlooking the lawn and water, private front door and stairs into kitchen – pure luxury. Both mornings the meal was delicious, with 3 courses. The blueberry scones were light as a feather.
Eight Wonderful Days/Nights. Dan and Janet are the ultimate Innkeepers. We stayed for 8 nights in the General Washington Suite and had every creature comfort we needed. A sitting area, a luxurious king-size 4-poster bed and a gorgeous bathroom with a huge air-jetted tub, great for a hot bubble bath after a long day of hiking. The Inn and the surrounding grounds are impeccable. Our stay was wonderful, 5-star all the way.
Relaxing Escape from Reality. My husband and I wanted a quiet weekend with a bit of luxury, and our expectations were exceeded! We loved the General Washington Suite with a kitchenette and private entrance, but our favorite part was stepping right out onto the deck with waterfront view. We borrowed movies and books from their collection, watched a bald eagle glide by while we sat on the lawn, and strolled around the lavender and wild flowers. Lots of opportunities for photographers! Breakfast was beyond our expectations.
