Looking for a Port Angeles Fly Shop?
Fly fishers, a visit to the Olympic Peninsula is the trip of a lifetime–at any time! The fishery is incredibly diverse and productive all year round, no matter if your preference is freshwater or saltwater fly angling. Fortunately, you’ll find the best Port Angeles fly shop when you go to Waters West. The brick and mortar shop opened in 1998 and is going strong, for good reason. Waters West is supported by the local fly fishing club as the most complete and well-stocked fly shop around. The products are top-notch, and so is the advice. Need fly tying? How about guide service? No problem. Waters West has it all. This Port Angles fly shop is so much more than a shop, however. The Waters West staff offer classes and guide service as well, so you can make the most of your fly fishing trip no matter your skill level or familiarity with the region. (By the way, Waters West offers a fishing report on its website!)
Port Angeles Fly Shop Trips
Waters West holds anglers in high regard. They understand that every angler is different – needs, knowledge and desired experience vary from person to person. This Port Angeles fly shop offers flexible guided trips to suit your preferences, including multi-boat trips and half-day walk & wade trips.
The Olympic Peninsula Fly Fishers
When you come to the Olympic Peninsula as a fly fisher, you’re in good company. The Olympic Peninsula Fly Fishers are a Fly Fishing Federation-affiliated fly fishing club located in Port Angeles. And just like Waters West is an outlier, so is the OPFF club. In fact, in 2011, the club was awarded the Federation of Fly Fishers McKenzie Cup, recognizing us as the fly fishing club of the year. In 2012, it was awarded the Patriots Award by Project Healing Waters for its work with wounded warriors. As mentioned earlier, the club supports the Port Angeles fly shop, but it also supports anyone interested in fly fishing. All are welcome, whether they’re members or not. So that means you can drop into a meeting and get tons of expert regional advice on your next Olympic Peninsula fly fishing trip! Club activities are typically scheduled at least once a month, so you can plan your trip to coincide if you like.
