Surveyor Retreat

Rate | Starting at $270

George Washington spent his teen years as a surveyor. Many nights were spent in the open fields, and perhaps this is where he developed his love of the natural landscape. The Surveyor Retreat is richly and tastefully decorated in a warm sage with earthy tones. The south-facing windows offer a panoramic view of the majestic Olympic Mountain range and the wide-open fields. As the sun begins to set, wrap yourself in your robe, sink into the love seat in front of the all-season fireplace, and unwind. Your king bed with its luxury linens assures a good night’s sleep and a new day of adventure and exploration on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula.

What Guests Say About the Surveyor Retreat

Great Accommodations, Great Service, Great Views, Great Stay. From the detailed attention to comfort and customer service to the reverent focus on the period décor and all things “George and Martha,” Dan and Janet provide a superior guest experience. We stayed in the Surveyor Retreat. It was spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated. The en suite bath was large, with a spa tub I could practically float in. The bed was the most comfortable we slept in during our two-week trip.
Outstanding! This bed and breakfast was by far the most beautiful place we have ever stayed! The views were spectacular no matter which way you looked! The grounds were manicured to perfection and the rooms were spotless. It was such a pleasure having a delicious breakfast with a such a beautiful view. We stayed in the Surveyor Retreat which was nice and large and had a great bathroom with a spa tub. Janet was a great host and very helpful and knowledgeable with all of our questions.
Great Anniversary Stay. There are several B&Bs nearby, but none are as impressive as the George Washington Inn. Janet was a wonderful host. The rooms were cozy and private with excellent views. We stayed in the Surveyor Retreat for four nights and it was wonderful. A view of the mountains out the front and a view of the Strait out back. Eating breakfast on the veranda with all the windows was a wonderful start to the day.
